The following Privacy Policy relates to how your data is used whenever you visit www.awakenthepeace.com, work with me, or visit any of my other related websites. Please read this policy carefully and come back here to catch up on updates of how I use your data. Please be aware that this policy can change at any time, in order to respect any new privacy policy laws or regulations, so please check back here if you’d like to stay updated on any changes. As a user of this website, you consent to this Privacy Policy.
Personal Data Collection: I will never sell, trade or abuse your e-mail address or any information that you submit to me. And if you ever want to stop receiving e-mails from me, all you need to go is scroll down to the bottom of the newsletter e-mail and click the hyperlink at the very bottom that says “Unsubscribe”. When you sign up to my newsletter, hire me, or purchase one of my online products, you’ll receive relevant information about how you, your child, or your school can change their habits to change their life, by focusing more, stressing less and motivating themselves. The personal information I collect is to provide you with the services or newsletter subscriber experience that are customized to your goals, interests, and needs.
Children’s Privacy Statement: As a personal mentor and workshop leader, I mostly work with many families who want to hire me to help their child focus more, stress less, or motivate themselves with regards to their studies and career path choices. As part of my practice of continued professional development and self-reflection, I always invite the youths I work with, and my clients (their parents) to fill in a review form after the intervention. The data I publish on my website is through consent, and with respect to the parents or youths desire to be anonymous (through the use of a pseudonym), if they wish to protect identity.
As a matter of principle, I always use pseudonyms in my marketing material wherever I share an anecdote or a success story/review from one of my young clients, unless my clients opt-in to wanting to go by their real name, or have a photo uploaded next to their testimonial.
With regards to my newsletter for IB Diploma students, I do not knowingly allow children under 13 to sign up to my IB Diploma students’ newsletter. Given that the content I share on my blog is focused on helping pre-university students, and their supporters (parents, teachers, headmasters) work towards their goals with more ease and joy, the focus of my blog is helping exam-age youths to become more emotionally and mentally prepared for the academic challenges they face by developing their well-being skills.
GDPR: If you’re living in the EU, you have the right to request deletion of any personal data you shared through my websites or contact forms, as of May 25th 2018, under the “right to be forgotten”. As an EU resident, you also have the right to find out which of your data I have stored in my systems, which you can do by getting in touch with me via my ‘Contact’ page.
